Car rental with Liigu app — how does it work?
It’s like having your own car waiting for you at Lisbon airport!
With Liigu, there is no need to go to a car rental desk. You’ll only need your smartphone to find the car and start your rental — we’ll give your all the directions. So, after landing, you can go directly to the parking lot from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and drive off.
Need a car in Lisbon downtown? We’ll arrange it. Equipped with automatic transmission, Liigu cars make traffic on the charming but narrow streets easier to handle.
Travelling with family? We’ve got child seats for a safe journey with your little ones. Well-behaved pets are welcome too. All our rental cars are carefully cleaned and disinfected. Also, for unexpected changes of plans, we offer free cancellation until 24 hours before your pick-up.
Discover the hills of Lisbon the best possible way — by car!
Car rental is the most convenient way to travel to the ocean or explore the sights around Lisbon. If you’re already in Portugal, why not also visit Porto or Faro? You can drive to both of these cities in a couple of hours.
Lisbon is a hilly city with many narrow streets and challenging traffic. If you mainly drive in the city centre, we recommend renting a smaller car. This also makes parking in Lisbon easier. Street parking is limited in the city centre, so to save time and struggle, go for parking lots available all around the city.
If you plan to drive to the beaches near Lisbon or visit other spots in Portugal, it’s a good idea to rent an SUV or a more spacious car for your comfort.
The speed limit in urban areas across Portugal is typically 50 km/h (31 mph). The motorways have a maximum speed limit of 120 km/h (75 mph) and the rural roads — 90 km/h (55 mph).
